Fair Weather And Good Company At This Year’s SSA Golf Friendly

Taking place on 15^th May, this year’s SSA Golf Friendly was held at Sentosa Golf Club. A total of 27 SSA member companies and their guests took part in a friendly competition along the scenic Tanjong Course, followed by dinner in the evening.

Dinner was graced by Guest-of-Honour, Chief Executive at Maritime Port and Authority of Singapore, Mr Teo Eng Dih.

There was a total of 144 guests in attendance during dinner, which included both golfers and dinner-only guests. In her welcome address, SSA President Ms Caroline Yang thanked everyone for their support of the Golf Friendly event and hoped that the event would serve as platform for the maritime community to connect and build bonds.

Despite spending the afternoon on the golf course, guests were still lively and mingled amongst each other during dinner. Guests were also treated to an evening of good food, delicious food and live entertainment performed by singer Skye Sirena accompanied by the band Summer-Time Hotshots. There was also a surprise quiz, where members were tested on their knowledge of SSA.

While it was unfortunate no one was able to bring home the grand prize – a Lotus Eletre S that was the Hole-In-One prize – golfers were still able to talk home with various prizes. There were prizes for the top 10 players, Best Female Golfer, and novelty prizes. Prizes included Adidas Golf Cart bag, Boston Bag and Golf Pouch, and the Champion could also win a complimentary flight at Sentosa Golf Club! Guests also had the chance to take part in a lucky draw.
